Introduction

Firstly‚ we think that it is important to let you know that we only charge you the costs incured by us for delivering your purchases to you. We do not make any profit from delivering your items to you.

Delivery charges will vary according to where you live.

Which ever way you choose to buy from us you will always be advised of the delivery charge before you commit to buying so that you can decide whether you want to proceed or not.

Furniture – Delivery by Courier

DHL Home Furnishings is always trying to find better cost effective ways to deliver your furniture to you.

We know that delivery by courier of single peices of furniture can be much more cost effective than delivering on a pallet.

Unfortunately‚ we have discovered through experience that couriers are not geared up to delivery furniture and we found that even although the furniture was reasonably protected‚ items where being badly damged in transit.

We incured an 85% damage rate when shipping furniture to our Customers by various couriers.

This is not acceptable by DHL Home Furnishings and we do not belive that it is acceptable by our Customers either.

Furniture – Delivery

If you purchase furniture it will be delivered to you on a wooden pallet. The decision on which service we use is based on a number of factors‚ but our goal is to get your furniture to you cost effectively‚ but ultimately safely and without any damage.

The price you pay is for the whole pallet so you may be able to get several pieces of furniture on the same pallet‚ at no extra cost‚ depending on the dimensions of the furniture you purchase. For those of you making multiple purchases it would be advisable to email or call us to confirm if your purchases will all go on one pallet.

When the delivery is made to your home by the delivery company they are normally unable to take the furniture into your home. They will place it within reason any where you ask them to‚ for example in your garage or under a car port. You may be able to make a private arrangement with the delivery person to take the goods into your home.

Gifts – Delivery

If you purchase gifts they will either be delivered to you by Royal Mail or by a Courier. The decision on which service we use is based on a number of factors‚ but our goal is to get your gifts to you cost effectively‚ but ultimately safely and without any damage.

The price you pay is dependent on your post code and the volume and weight of your purchases.

Free Pickup

If you would prefer‚ you can pickup your purchases from our Warehouse.

There is no charge for picking up from our Warehouse.

Delivery Destinations

Mainland UK

We can deliver to all Mainland UK destinations but Scotland may have additional charges.

Other UK Destinations

We also deliver to Isle of Man‚ Isle of Wight‚ Highlands‚ Islands‚ Scilly Isles‚ other Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. These destinations are more expensive to deliver to and will incur additional charges.

Europe

We can deliver furniture and gifts to most European Countries. These destinations are more expensive to deliver to and will incur additional charges. If you cannot find the delivery charge for your country then please email us for a quote.

International

We can deliver gifts to most International Countries. These destinations are more expensive to deliver to and will incur additional charges. If you cannot find the delivery charge for your country then please email us for a quote.

Pallet Sizes

The cost of delivering your furniture is also dependent on the dimensions and volume of your purchases. You will need one of the following sizes of pallets for your furniture delivery -

Quarter Pallet  –  W=40” x D=48” x H=24”    or    1015 x 1220 x 610 mm

Half Pallet  –        W=40” x D=48” x H=36”    or    1015 x 1220 x 915 mm

Full Pallet  –         W=40” x D=48” x H=72”    or    1015 x 1220 x 1830 mm

Delivery charges for a pallet are dependent on your Post Code and the zone it falls into. You can check the table below to see which zone your post code is in.

Pallet Delivery Charges for the UK

Once you have selected your pallet size and you have found which zone your post code is in you can estimate the shipping cost from the table below.

Just to remind you that your delivery charge is not paying for a piece of furniture to be delivered‚ it is paying for a Quarter‚ Half or Full size pallet to be delivered and what ever fits into that space is inclusive in the charge.

Please note that the delivery charges quoted below can change without notice so are for guidance only. The prices do include VAT (where applicable) but do not include any fuel surcharge imposed by the pallet delivery company.

European Deliveries

We can deliver your Furniture and Gifts to most European destinations.

If you live in a European country you will not be able to estimate your delivery charges from the information above.

International Deliveries

We can deliver your Gifts to most International destinations.

Delivery Timescale's

Gift ware items will normally be delivered within 2 - 10 working days.

Furniture that we have in stock at the time that you place your order will normally be delivered within 5 - 10 working days.

If the item that you are interested in is not in stock you may have the option to place a future order by placing a 25% deposit. This will require us to place a special order with our factory in China. Your order will then be delivered to us in a container with other customer orders.

One of the questions we are regularly asked is how long it will take for your order to arrive. Well‚ generally the answer is that we just don't know because we don't know how many customers will place orders and over what time period they will place them. So‚ by all means ask the question but please don't be offended if we tell you we don't know.
